Free People Dupes

Layer Up Tee from Free People – this is such a great layering piece for the fall! The Free People version has cuffed sleeves which adds just a little bit of detail & dimension to the shirt. The dupe for this shirt I found from Forever 21! Both long sleeved shirts have the slight v neckline detail, the FP version does have a curved hem & is more an off white while the F21 has a straight hem & is true white.

FP Queen of Hearts Oversized Tee – the FP version is sold out in every size but XS right now. I found a dupe on Buckle’s website for only $37 less than 1/2 the cost & it’s in stock in every single size!! The Buckle version seems like a cream shirt & a more distressed print while the FP version is a color they’re calling sand. Both have ‘Queen’ written down the sleeve.

Free People Dolman Jacket – this jacket was such a huge hit last year & it’s back again this year!! I linked a Forever 21 version that you guys loved so much, but it’s always sold out! Target just came out with one & I’m obsessed + it’s only $40! The FP version has 3 color options right now while the Target jacket has 8. Both have a quilted design with pockets & cinched elastic waist in the back. The main differences are the Target jacket has a hood & the pockets are on the outside of the jacket while the FP are inside & has more of a collar without a hood.

Free People Summer Daydream Buttondown – I found a great dupe for this buttondown on Amazon, almost 1/4 the price! These shirts are pretty dang identical, the Amazon version comes in 11 colors and the FP version comes in 9 colors.

Free People Dolman Jacket & Dupe

Hi friends, I wanted to share this jacket that I’ve seen EVERYWHERE recently. My Instagram feed has been filled with multi colors (5 to be exact) of this adorable knit quilted lightweight jacket from Free People that is to die for. It’s no question Free People has a reputation for creating beautiful high quality clothes, but they’re also known for having a spendy price tag.

Which leads me to this amazing quilted zip-up dupe I found recently at Forever 21! It’s almost 1/4 the price and equally as cute! Both are on trend this season and will transition well between seasons! Main differences : zipper detailing on FP is gold, F21 is silver. FP jacket is distressed. F21 jacket has a hood. Pocket placement on each jacket is slightly different. Do you prefer the splurge or save option!?

*UPDATE – I found a 2nd option for a dupe that I like EVEN MORE than the Forever 21 Version & it’s from Target! Only $40 & such great quality. It is VERY similar to the Forever 21 jacket, both have hoods, diamond style quilting and pockets on the outside. However, the Target jacket has an elastic wrist detail & more distressing like the Free People version that gives it the vintage lived in feel. Target also has a lot more color options (8) & they have frequent restocks.

Target Haul Fall 2020 Outfits

Okay I know I’m not the only one who dies of excitement when you walk into target and see all the fall stuff they have out. It might be too warm to wear sweaters, but it’s not too soon to buy them. Budget finds usually sell out very quick so if you don’t buy them you might not see them again.

Color Block Cardigain – At first I wasn’t sold on this coloring, but I’m so glad I bought it because I haven’t stopped wearing it. This cardigan is made of the coziest fabric. I got it in a size small it fits TTS to a bit oversized in the sleeves but I like it that way! This sweater is only $27.99 & comes in a few other colors.

Lime Green Sweater – I was immediately drawn to this color and with my dark hair against this lime green I feel like Shego from Kim possible. This bright green is a huge trend for Fall! If this color isn’t your favorite they have plenty of others to choose from a hot pink, stripes & a cheetah print. $20 & I got it in a M to fit a bit oversized.

Cognac Long Sleeved Tee – I want this T-shirt in every single color they make because it is that good. It’s made of the softest material & it’s $10! I got it in this camel cognac color & black and white stripes that I love to wear underneath the color blocked cardigan (I can’t find stripes online, but maybe check in stores). I sized up to a M because I want them to fit a bit loose.

Color Blocked Sweater – I’m obsessed with everything about this sweater, the color combo + the same cozy material as the first 2 sweaters. The top hot coral color is really popular this fall & looks just like the Fall 2020 Pantone color “Samba”. The fit is oversized so you could definitely down size, but I still got a Small because I liked the fit. This find was $24.99!

Knit Sweater – this is such a staple piece that you can wear for many seasons. It’s a really simple knit sweater and perfect for fall & winter. It comes in so many colors! I got this yellow, but I’ve been debating going back for the Forrest green or periwinkle color. My sister also picked this one up in an oatmeal & a rust color. I sized up to a M in this one & it’s $20.

Turtle Neck Sweater – Oh my gosh, this material feels so luxe. I honestly don’t know how it’s only $29.99. I love the turtle neck & side slits. It’s the perfect sweater to pair with leggings because it gives you good bum coverage too! I picked this white color, but they also have a mauve, cognac & a few others. It fits really oversized so I sized down to a XS.

Charcoal Button Down – I am a sucker for a good chambray style shirt. I’ve never seen one in this dark color so I had to snag it. I love that you can dress it up or down. The perfect shirt for pumpkin patch visits. It does come in a few other colors & was $19.99. The website says that it’s Navy but to me it’s really dark & I think of it more as charcoal.

15 facts about me!

My stats tell me everyday that more and more people read my blog, but I feel like many of you probably don’t know much of anything about me so I’ve made this post with 10 facts about me so you can get to know me personally better & we can connect more!

1. I have been on fire before (like legitimately).

It was my 8th birthday, picture tiny little Kennah leaning over to blow out her birthday candles and my hair catches on fire. TERRIFYING.

2. I hattteee milk & I’m the pickiest eater.

3. In pre-school for Halloween I was scooby-doo.

4. I got lost at the state fair.

Story time again. If you’ve ever been to the state fair you know its pretty big especially being a little kid. I was mesmerized by a wood carving station and I turned around and no one was in sight. My mom swears she was right there across the street in another store, but no she wasn’t. I immediately went into panic mode and thought I would get left behind never to see my family again. I found my way back to the car and sat there crying while watching fireworks for an hour while my family was inside searching for me. I finally saw my dad running out to me crying his eyes out and he picked me up and my sassy self was mad at everyone for leaving me.

5. I have a BIG family. 11 siblings. 4 parents. 8 grandparents.

6. I actually enjoy working out. It might sound crazy to some of you, but it took me a long time to get here!

7. I’ve struggled with anxiety pretty much my whole life. You can read more about it here on the post I made specifically sharing my story.

8. I have the biggest sweet tooth. Controlling it is SO HARD.

9. I’m afraid of deep open water.

10. My sisters and I LOVE scary movies & anything to do with creepy stuff or serial killers.

11. I competed in Miss Teen Utah at 17 & placed in the top 10. This is probably something I am most proud of because I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. No coach. No stylist. No make-up artist. No mommy & daddy to pay for everything. All while still going to school.

A lot of people have asked me when I’m doing Miss Utah and I always thought I would go back but I’m not sure if I will. I still think about it, but my goals have shifted a little bit.

12. I worked at Chick-Fil-A. First job and seriously the best job. It was so much fun even though I came home every night smelling like chicken.

13. I’ve had a blood transfusion.

14. My mind is 90% song lyrics. Ask me to rap for you next time we hangout.

15. I’m such a dreamer. I still believe there’s a chance my long lost grandma will show up and tell me I’m princess of Genovia.

Hopefully this helps you to get to know me a little bit better. I don’t want anything to come across over social media that I don’t have problems or struggles because I definitely do.

Monthly Update !!

When I first started this series of monthly updates, I didn’t know it would end up being one of my favorite things to write. I love being able to share and talk about all the things I’ve been using from apps to websites and products and music. It also gives me an excuse to try tons of new things. Last month I recommended the Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversation and I’ve still been listening to it this month. I listen in the mornings and it really helps me start my day with a positive attitude and a humble heart. Cannot recommend it enough. Plus its Oprah, who doesn’t love her??

My new favorite exfoliating face wash. It helps me control my oil and makes my skin super soft!!
This facial spray with aloe, herb and rosewater is a great mid-day refresher. I also use it in my hair on day 2 and 3 when it needs a little extra love. I bought it s month ago and it’s already half gone.
I caved and bought Anastasia Beverly Hills new Amrezy Highlighter. I swatched it on my hand in the store and fell in love instantly. It actually looks wet and dewy.
I have been looking for the perfect white ruffle sleeve top and I think I have found it.
Loving cropped skinny jeans right now & I’m stocking up for summer. These Vervet Destroyed skinny jeans are in my cart and ready for checkout. These Distressed Hem skinny jeans are out of stock in my size, but I’ll be back for them.
Just bought this mini black denim skirt. I paired mine with a cream sweater and a gold belt and got so many compliments. Would also look adorable with this button up.
I’ve been doing a ton of health and wellness research because I’ve been sick a lot this winter. I found these wellness shots at target and found them online as well. They’re blue green algae wellness shots, blue green algae is a superfood packed with proteins, vitamins and nutrients.
White PEACHY Tee. Only $23 and it looks so soft and comfy, I need it.
Newport front tie top that I’m on the email list for because its out of stock in my size, but I am 100% buying this for Seattle.
Been needing a new pair of athletic shoes and I found these alpha bounce adidas also love these adidas Originals Deerupt Sneakers.
I’ve been redoing my closet (which i will make a separate post about) but one thing I bought is this red Levi’s Tee.
I posted about this lip mask last month because I had just got it but my updates is… it’s amazing. As good as everyone’s been saying. After having it on I can’t stop rubbing my lips together because of how soft they are.

World Market – I love to go into this store as well they have the best furniture and I got the best smelling body scrub from Huntington Soap Co.

LA Hearts Swimwear – I spend a ridiculous amount of time looking for swimsuits for summer body inspiration.

Thrillest – Has the best travel guides, I have been using it to look up yummy places for my upcoming trip with my sister to Seattle.

ASOS – Again been redoing my closet and some of it has been from this shop! They have EVERYTHING.

“The Advice Book”

I wanted to make a post about “The Advice Book” I made for my little sister for Christmas. It’s such a sweet & sentimental gift to give to someone you care about. I’m actually not that crafty when it comes to making presents like this, but this one was actually pretty easy. I bought a blank journal from Target and got to work. My opening page (which I cried writing) is pictured below to help give you an idea. I wrote lessons I have learned along the way about boys, self-confidence, money, friends and threw in some quotes that have stuck with me over the years.

What’s in My Wardrobe? : The Perfect Pair of Ripped Black Skinny Jeans

I struggle with not only finding a nice black pair of jeans, but keeping a nice pair of black jeans BLACK. I’ve gone through so many different pairs and they always end up looking grey and faded. Flying Monkey jeans are by far my favorite brand of jeans so when I found these babies with rips in the knees at a local boutique I HAD to have them (fall is still a ways away but I couldn’t wait!). These will now be my favorite go to pair because they are so soft and comfy and they look hot hot hot! BONUS they’re not too expensive especially for the quality of these pants.
