Amazon Beauty Essentials

Welcome back! Today I’m talking about 2 of my favorite things. AMAZON & beauty products. First of all whoever invented Amazon, I would like to personally thank for making the quality of my life so much better & saving me a lot of money. They continue to improve and impress me which is kind of scary. There have been times I’ve ordered things on a Friday night at 2 in the morning and it’s on my door step Sunday morning. Another thing I love is that I can look at other people’s reviews & read stories to see if a product is going to work how I would like it. Now, here are my favorite things I’ve ordered from Amazon!

Silk Pillowcase – Recently I’ve been having hair breakage right around my face because I wear my hair tied up at night & with it being so dry when I rub my face into my pillow throughout the night it breaks off. This pillowcase has helped a lot with this problem, but I’ve also noticed a few other bonuses. It doesn’t cause me to wake up with frizzy or crazy bed head hair & it isn’t as rough on my skin which helps with anti aging & overall is just more comfy. It keeps cool throughout the night too which I love.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses – At night there is a setting on your phone to turn off blue lights, but things like TV’s & computers don’t have this same setting. These blue light glasses will protect your eyes + they’re super cute.

Eyebrow Tinkle Razors – If you don’t already shave your face, you need to. Yes, even if you think you don’t need to because you just have peach fuzz. I promise, shaving your face with these tinkle razors makes your foundation and make up powders go on so much smoother! You face will never look better. It’s easier than you think & 100% painless. In my experience its never grown back darker.

Make-Up Blending Sponge – This pack of 5 blending sponges cannot be beat. It’s a great dupe for the beauty blender because of it’s density, softness & it doesn’t absorb a lot of product. The size when it’s damp also makes it great for applying foundation. I gave one to my sister & she thought it was just as great! I’ve loved the Real Techniques sponge in the past, but I always shied away from using it for foundation because it absorbs a good amount of product. Finally I’ve found a new replacement and for the price & quality its a no brainer.

Laneige Lip Mask – The butteriest lip mask ever. I have the hardest time not just rubbing my lips together constantly when I have it on. Plus after you wake up the next day your lips will be incredibly soft.

Brow Tint – This brow tint saves a ton of time when you’re getting ready in the morning so you don’t have to fill them in every morning.

Argan Hair Mask – With my recent hair issue, I’ve started using this hair mask to help keep my hair hydrated. It smells amazing + makes your hair look shiny & healthy.

Heat Resistant Silicone Travel Mat – I originally got this little silicone mat just to keep my hot tools on in my own bathroom at home, but it has come in handy. If your tools haven’t finished cooling & you don’t have time to wait you can roll it up with your curling/straightening iron and there is a little band to wrap it up.

Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer – This tool is great because you can give yourself a blow out at home. My hair type is extremely fine & thin which isn’t a great combination. I’ve tried different products to help give my hair some life, but if they did work it was never for more than one day. By far this has been the best.

Ride or Die Hair Tools You Need

I just recently purchased a new hair drying tool that I’ve been loving so much it inspired me to share it along with my ride-or-die hair tools I’ve been using.

I’m sure you’ve seen posts floating around on this Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer and let me just tell you it as amazing as everyone says. I have very thin & extremely fine hair & I’ve tried everything to help volumize my hair. This hair drying tool does the trick! If you’ve ever wanted to blow out your hair on your own, now you can! I only use it on the low setting because it can get very hot. Every time I use this tool I get compliments on how shiny my hair is. I will note that the cord on this is quite short actually.

Next for curling I’ve been using this NuMe Magic Curling Wand for about 3 years & it is my ride or die. One of the features on this wand is that it turns itself off after its been sitting which I love, no worrying if you did or didn’t shut it off when you’re rushing out the door. It also allows you to control you heat which a lot of wands do not. There is no clamp & I just carefully wrap my hair around the titanium barrel. It does come with a heat-resistant glove, but personally I’ve never used it. My hair has a hard time holding a curl but this wand works every time for me.

Another great curling iron is the s1 beachwaver. You might think it’s strange that I have 2 curling irons on here, but they do very different things. This curling iron has a clamp & gives a more “beach wave” with its ceramic barrel. It does come with a learning curve because you don’t wrap the hair around the barrel yourself you clamp it and press the arrow for which direction you want your curls to go & this iron wraps it around for you. It has a nice little stand built in. With this curling iron you can also control the temperature & it has a self shut off after 30 minutes.

CHI & me are thick as thieves. We go wayyy back & I’ve always had really great luck with their straighteners. A straightener is kind of a straightener but I’ve never had any problems with mine & they’ve lasted for YEARS. It has a nice long cord, you can control the temperature & the newest version has the auto-shut off feature. (Mine doesn’t have this which tells you how long I’ve had it).

I also added my favorite hair products :

When you’re using heat on your hair always make sure to use a heat protector. My favorite is the 44 Iron Guard.

My favorite hair spray is the #28 Control Addict from REDKEN. They have different numbers for the level of hold. Higher the number higher the hold.

I spray my hair after the shower with this it’s a 10 miracle leave-in product it helps detangle your hair & gets rid of frizz better than ANYTHING! I have been using the it’s a 10 miracle leave-in product plus keratin.

I use Esquire’s Shaper to smooth fly aways & through my ends. It smells AMAZING. It’s actually meant for guys hair, but I swear by it. It’s a low shine.

My number 1 shampoo & conditioner duo is this one from ColorProof. Its mint & leaves a nice menthol cooling sensation & is super moisturizing.

One of my favorite shampoo & conditioner is Paul Mitchel’s Tea Tree its also great for moisturizing especially during the winter months.

Another favorite is Joico’s k-pak shampoo & conditioner. The K-pak is my favorite to use after dying my hair or when it’s feeling damaged.
