White Sneakers & How to Keep them White

It’s no secret white shoes are a huge trend because they are so versatile. You can wear them with a dress, jeans or shorts & they still look cute, but how do you keep your white shoes looking white? Below is what I do & other ideas of what you can do to keep those shoes around for awhile.

1. Protectant Spray – if you google this one from Nordstrom there are tons of crazy videos to show you exactly how well it works.

2. Washing Machine – I had someone tell me they’d never heard of putting shoes in the washing machine. This is how I wash all my canvas type shoes or even Nike sneakers & air dry them. Not all shoes can be washed so be sure to look into your specific pair.

3. Magic Eraser – I’ve a huge fan of magic erasers and they work great on leather or the soles of your shoes.

4. Tooth Brush & Soap – This is my ride or die when cleaning shoes. There’s always 2 tooth brushes in my bathroom. 1 for brushing teeth and 1 for cleaning shoes. I love it because you can clean them as they get dirty so if you have one little spot it’s easy to hurry and get it out.

5. Bleach – I don’t use this often because bleach scares me honestly, I always end up with bleach somewhere it’s not supposed to be. If you use this method be sure to dilute it with water!

Tip : Put a towel inside the shoes to help them dry faster.

Closet Binge & Purge

I constantly feel like I’m sick of everything in my closet and so I finally decided to clean it all out and start fresh. Taking it back to basics and getting a good base for a well-rounded closet was the plan. Now I can add in items for each season and trends as they change. I tried to keep things pretty neutral with non-basic basic tees, graphic tees, tanks, and a few good button ups. Below is some of those items I’ve picked for my closet & cute things to add to your closet!

  1. Basic Tee’s. I got this 2-pack of black and white tees from ASOS for only $16! Also love this Hanes x Karla crew neck tee & this Black Tee with a split neck.
  2. A good striped tee is a staple in my closet. Here is one similar to the one that I have.
  3. Chambray-style front tie denim top – can you say backyard BBQ uniform?
  4. This ruffle sleeve twisted hem top is everything & comes in multiple colors.
  5. Cutest free people tank is a have-to-have for me because I can wear it to workout or casually because summer is SO CLOSE here! Here is a similar one because it is out of stock in my size.
  6. Been dying over this Levi’s Red Tee, just got shipping confirmation for it & can’t wait!
  7. This peasant top gives me summer/beachy feels & makes me want to take a vacation to Hawaii just so I can buy it.
  8. Vertical striped front tie button up. All of my favorites in one.
  9. Another ruffle sleeved top, this one is embroidered & is sitting in my cart right now.
  10. Twist detail tee, I am loving the Teal Surf color & it comes in 3 other colors.

I have some questions for you on this one!
